Aquesta referència gràfica dels taulats, també és l'element a partir del qual atorguem, metafòricament, a la imatge els valors d'un element protector i integrador de grup en termes d'arquitectura i que traslladem a la unitat d'ECMO DE L'HOSPITAL DE SANT PAU, com a la unitat que integra diferents disciplines de la medicina per tal d'assolir la funció de protecció/cura.
